Saradambal Temple in Coimbatore
The Sharadambal temple in Coimbatore was built in 1979 by the then Peedathipathi of Sharada Matt of Shringeri.
The Sharadambal temple enshrines Goddess Sharadhambal. It is believed that the Goddess is very powerful and she grants the wishes of her devotees.
The Sharadambal temple has small shrines for Lord Ganesha, Lord Muruga and Guru Adi Shankarar. Navarathri is the main festival that is celebrated with pomp and grandeur.
All nine days the Sharadambal temple hosts ‘kolu’ and conducts special poojas and celebrations like Bhajans and dances.
The temple has a Kalyana Mandapam and the Trust that maintains the temple is planning to start a Veda Pada Salai to teach Vedas and Upanishads in Sanskrit.

This is located in Race Course Road, adjuscent to Collector’s Bungalow.
The Sharadambal temple is managed by Sringeri Mutt.
In this Saradambal Temple, there are murthis for Vinayakar, Murugar, and Sivan also.
Navarathri Festival is celebrated with display of dolls. Large number of ladies visits the temple during Fridays.
