Ukkadam Ukkadam is a neighbourhood of the City of Coimbatore in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.
Most of the inhabitants are followers of Hinduism.
However, there is a considerable presence of Muslims.
The Kottaimedu area of Ukkadam has a strong Muslim majority.
Ukkadam was one of the areas affected by riots that happened in the aftermath of the 1998 Coimbatore bombings.
