Irugur Irugur is a panchayat town in Coimbatore District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
It is one of the junction in southern railways.
Irugur is located at 11°01 N 77°04 E / 11.02°N 77.07°E / 11.02; 77.07.
It has an average elevation of 343 metres.
The name Irugur referes to Iru + Oor, ie. Iru = “two” in tamil and “Oor” = place in tamil.
Earlier there was two Places in Irugur, the river Noyyel was separating these two places.
